DENVER
Denver Eats:
Breakfast at Stowaway, Cashew Milk Latte + Spiced Fruit Toast, = yes please!
Brunch at Devil's Food Cafe, coziest of cafes. After brunch head over to Wash Park for a stroll.
Ice Cream at Sweet Action, with flavors like dirty chai and blackberry lavender, you will not disappoint. Take your cone to go and explore the South Broadway area, there's tons of vintage shops, record stores, and restaurants worth checking out.
Dinner at Kaos Pizzeria - we are New Yorkers and months later we still have Kaos Pizza cravings.
Other Notables: Crema Coffee, Denver Biscuit Co., and Beatrice and Woodsly.
Denver Play:
The Denver Art Museum surprisingly has an amazing collection. When we visited we were lucky enough to be there in time to see exhibits from Basquit and Ryan McGinley.
Who are you really if you don't visit at least one brewery while in Denver? Got you covered, here's your spot Our Mutual Friend Brewing Company
The area of Rhino was our favorite to explore, once your tired of walking around and feeling hangry, get ready to eat the world at Denver Central Market, we opted for Culture Meat and Cheese because they boasted having the world's best grilled cheese, and while I don't think I've had the pleasure of trying all of the worlds grilled cheese (yet) I would say this comes high in my ranking.
And yet another duh, your in Denver, you have to, kind of moment, I present you with Sticky Buds, we obviously walked into almost all of the dispensaries Denver had to offer (me, being with Alan, is that enough said?... stoner) we decided to feature this one, it was a really professional experience, with a highly knowledgeable staff, and they have a large window displaying parts of their in house grow house, which was a somehow mesmerizingly dreamy sight.
DENVER Day Trips:
Wake up early and start the morning right, grab breakfast at Snooze in Boulder on your way to hike Rocky Mountain National Park.
You can choose literally any of these hikes to do, you are about to experience some of the most unreal views ever to be hiked (well for beginner hikers at least). Alan literally played classical music on his iphone during our climb and nothing has ever felt so silly and so peaceful at the same time, we highly recommend you do the same.
There are a lot of really cute mountain towns surrounding RMNP, we decided on exploring Estes Park due to the fact that we needed to see the Stanley Hotel, land of the ghosts, hello!
In Estes you need to visit The Taffy Shop, an establishment 82 years of age, we didn't even know we liked Taffy until we stopped at this upmost sweetest candy shop I've ever seen.
Last but not least, it may be kitschy, but we like that sort of thing, drumroll please.... The Stanley Hotel. It may or may not be haunted but so many parts of it are actually breathtakingly pretty and the bartender knows what their doing. So be sure not to miss out, grab a bite to eat and a cocktail before heading back to Denver.
Other Notables for just outside of Denver Day Trips:
Adventure to Red Rocks Amp, hike, explore, enjoy.
Walk around Golden, grab a sandwich at D-Deli, and find another local hike after tiring out from popping in all the antique shops.
