LOS ANGELES

EAT:

Los Angeles might be one of our favorite cities to eat in, so bare with us, this list is on the longer side to get your eat on.

Early bird breakfast at the Fountain Coffee Room inside the Beverly Hills Hotel, its perfectly greasy diner food set in an instagram worthy haven.

Cafe Gratitude is the spot to get a hearty healthy (also vegan) breakfast, a perfect start to your L.A. day, even the carnivores won't mind.

Jon and Vinny's might be the best food I've ever eating in Los Angeles, we went for breakfast but will return for dinner.

Swinger's in Santa Monica is everything you want design wise in a Los Angeles vibed throw back diner, and the food is really good too.

Sqirl is where you go for lunch. You order the tomato jam sandwich and the vanilla bean limeade. That is all, your welcome.

Malibu Farms, you go there for the views, you stay for the locally sourced farm to table fresh lunch.

We've been going to Cha Cha Chicken for years, maybe its our obsession with Jamaica, but this spot has our mouthes watering for more. Any place that offers fresh daily made juices like coconut pineapple not too sweet lemonade, outdoor sunny seating, and a side of plantains is good by me.

We can't not go to Gracias Madre when we are in L.A., its just good food and fun vibes. If you didn't already know this about me, Haley, I'm a vegetarian, and it is so fun and refreshing to like and want everything on this vegan menu (and also time consuming and confusing) and Alan, the one with the glasses who happens to eat everything and anything (except for his fear of mayo, that's another story), doesn't even realize its vegan because its just that damn delicious. Oh, also, just go ahead and order that pitcher of spicy margs, your on vacation after all :)

Make the reservation, and get your asses to Gjelina, you'll probably sit next to a celebrity or two, and you probably won't notice or care because your too busy shoveling highly pleasurable food and wine into your mouth.

Looking for a sweet, cozy, perfectly located, dinner spot that's just the right amount of romantic? We got you covered, The Hart and the Hunter is it.

PLAY:

Melrose Umbrella Co. is where bartenders go to graduate into alcohol tastemaker connoisseurs. They will make you a drink with ingredients you didn't realize you could consume, light it on fire, and serve it up, somehow ending up looking like the prettiest drink you ever laid eyes and mouth on.

Zuma Beach in Malibu is the beach to go to lay your bones after you've conceived your food baby over at Malibu Farms.

Score your latest and greatest designer consignment or vintage steal at Wasteland, our favorite location is on Melrose, but its a scavenger hunt and obviously a great find can be just around the corner from any location.

American Superior is a great vintage store in West Hollywood, well priced and well organized, you won't leave empty handed.

The Griffith Observatory hike may seem to be an unoriginal recommendation for those who frequent the los angeles area, but I don't think it ever gets old, and its just such an L.A. thing to do, you know, walking around in sunshine and fresh air. I also enjoy a hike that has a water fountain perfectly placed at the top.

Shatto 39 Lanes is a bowing ally in Koreatown that makes up the perfect combination of slightly grimy in a fun way, kid friendly, adult approved (aka there's a bar).

Go to the Upstairs at the Ace Hotel downtown for a sunset drink, the entire building is quite gorgeous but the views speak for themselves, its a great spot to unwind from all the eating, drinking, shopping, and having fun your having. Whatevs, that's vacation.

Find your way into the pool at Le Petit Ermitage, do it at any means necessary.

The 14th Factory is not only your greatest destination for important instagram opp but is also home of some pretty exciting contemporary art, get over there while you can.

Stay:

Palihotel Santa Monica, The Line Hotel, Le Petit Ermitage, and honestly this might be home of some of the best AirBnB's
